Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress, best well-known for her role in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace, originally from Worthington in Ohio, dropped out of high school in order to move in Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. While struggling financially she landed her first acting gig as Rachel's Room's title character the online video series Rachel's Room in the year 2001. Her portrayal in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV movie Murder In Greenwich in 2002, earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the main actress on Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with all the cast. Grace decided to concentrate on film after starring opposite Tom Welling's character on The Fog, in 2005. She also starred on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club as well as, alongside Liam Neeson's Kim Mills as Kim Mills for Taken. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a contemporary adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon in two episodes of Lost as well as the show's finale. In 2013, she was in the seventh season Californication. She plays Faith who's both an avid stargazer as well as a groupie. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. A member of the Gyllenhaal clan She is the child of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs as well as the elder sister of actor Jake Gyllenhaal. Her career began as a teenager with small roles in several of the films of her father and starred with her brother in the cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). Then she appeared in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (both 2002) as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 an erotic romantic drama) and Sherrybaby (606) and Sherrybaby (606) that earned their Golden Globe Award nods. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008, following several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006), brought Gyllenhaal greater fame. For this movie, she received an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
